The number of energy efficiency incentive programs available to Canadians continues to grow.

The provincial government’s incentive program announced in April 2009, coupled with the federal government’s 25% increase in ecoENERGY Retrofit Program grants, the Home Renovation Tax Credit, and various municipal incentives make having energy efficiency improvements done on your home easier and more economically viable.

For instance, by taking advantage of both the provincial and federal energy efficiency incentive programs, rebates of $1290 are available for replacing an existing heating system with a 94% high efficiency gas furnace, or $565 for replacing your existing hot water tank with an on-demand water heater.
